Phoenix Halls is in the centre of Brighton and less than a mile from Brighton beach and pier. Car parking is chargeable and requires a permit for all campuses, however, it is still on a first come first served bases. Price starts from £2.00 per day; 7am to 5pm. It is £4.50 in the evening;  5pm-7am.

As part of the University of Brighton’s environmental policy, Southcoast encourages customers and clients to use public transport, car share or use other alternatives to cars when travelling to and from events.



By Train

  • From Brighton railway station: the entrance to Trafalgar Street is on the right-hand side of the station as you leave and it runs under the station entrance area and down the hill. Follow it to the bottom of the hill and then turn right onto Grand Parade. Cross to the other side of Grand Parade and keep walking away from the sea. If you continue up Grand Parade, past St Peters Church on your left you will then come to the start of a park called The Level and you will be on Richmond Terrace, take the next right down Southover street and you will see Phoneix Halls.


By Bus

  • The central location of our City campus places it at the heart of the Brighton and Hove bus network and makes it easy to reach the site from any area of the city.

By Bike

  • The cycle lane network provides easy access to Phoenix Halls. There are spaces to secure your bike on site. Cycle stands are also provided at the rear of the Grand Parade, off William Street. There is a cycle cage in front of the Circus Street Annexe, accessed via Kingswood Street.
